Lures & Feed
Hunting lures and feed for your ground: HAGOPUR scent attractants for fox, wild boar and marten, EUROHUNT urine and spray lures, SALZ PASTE salt pastes and the ATRASALT applicator gun. Everything needed to set up a bait site and hold game within range of your stand.
A well prepared bait site often decides if game steps into range while you wait in the high seat. This category holds HAGOPUR and EUROHUNT scent lures, SALZ PASTE spreadable salts and the tools to apply them. All of it suits Lithuanian hunting conditions, from calling foxes across winter fields to working boar trails in young conifer stands.
Who hunting lures and feed are for
Hunting lures are scent and taste products that draw game to a point you choose and hold it there long enough for a calm, accurate shot. They suit hunters who work from high seats, stalkers who need predictable approach routes, and ground managers who maintain bait sites and salt licks through the year. Unlike feeding with large volumes, a scent lure works in small doses: a few sprays or a handful of salt paste creates a scent trail a boar or fox picks up from a distance. That lets you predict the direction game arrives from, set a safe shooting lane and monitor the population with a trail camera at one fixed spot.
Types of lures in this category
The range falls into clear groups: scent attractants for predators, urine lures for deer species, food scent sprays for hoofed game and spreadable salts for lick sites. Alongside them sit the tools that make fieldwork cleaner. Below you can see how each group differs and which hunting situations it fits best.
Scent attractants for fox, marten and wild boar
HAGOPUR Premium class lures are made for single species: fox (500 ml), wild boar and marten. For fox there is also HAGOPUR Fuchs-Wunder (250 ml). These concentrated scents are applied to a stump, stone or wire plug near your waiting position. In predator hunting they earn their keep in winter, when a hungry fox follows the scent even through deep snow.
Urine lures for deer species
EUROHUNT red deer urine (100 ml) and the roe doe in heat lure imitate natural species scent. During the rut a buck or stag reads that scent as a rival or a receptive female and comes to check it. Urine lures are dripped onto the ground, a tuft of grass or a scent wick downwind of your position, so the animal approaches from a predictable side.
Food scent sprays
EUROHUNT acorn, corn and apple sprays (500 ml) raise the pull of a bait site without a large amount of feed. Sprayed on the ground, a stump or a small handful of grain, the scent carries wide and suggests plentiful food. It is a handy way to revive an old bait site or test a new spot before you put up a stand.
Spreadable salts for lick sites
SALZ PASTE spreadable salts (2 kg) come in five scents: smoke, neutral, truffle, apple and anise. The paste texture lets you smear salt onto stumps, trunks or logs, where deer species and boar lick it. The minerals support animal health, and the scent brings game back to the lick on a regular pattern, so the site keeps working through every season.
Application tools
The ATRASALT salt paste gun spreads the paste fast and cleanly, without dirty hands and without leaving human scent on the lick. The HAGOPUR Wasp-Trap is useful near a high seat, a game handling area or a hunting cabin, where wasps gather around meat and sweet smells.
How to choose a lure
Start by naming the species you hunt and the season you hunt it in, then pick the lure format to match the spot where it will sit. A liquid, a spray and a paste carry over different distances and last for different lengths of time. These points will help you decide:
- Species: choose predator lures for fox and marten, food scents for wild boar, urine lures or salt for deer species.
- Season: urine lures work best during the rut, predator scents in winter, salt licks pay off all year round.
- Format: a spray is quick to refresh, paste holds longest on a trunk, a liquid concentrate is strongest over a small area.
- Scent type: food scents attract steadily, pheromone scents work for a short window but trigger a stronger reaction.
- Quantity: start with one pack per site, watch the response on a trail camera and only then expand.
Practical advice in the field
Place the lure downwind of your high seat or waiting position, so the prevailing wind carries the scent into the hunting area instead of carrying your scent to the game. Wear gloves at the bait site and touch as little of the surroundings as you can. Refresh sprays after heavy rain, because water washes scent off soil and grass. Smear salt paste at roughly head height of the animal on a stump or leaning trunk; the lick stays cleaner and lasts longer that way. A trail camera at the site shows when game arrives and from which side, which makes picking your sitting hours far easier.
What the hunting regulations say
In Lithuania a bait site and a feeding site are separate things: a bait site may hold only a small amount of natural feed, and licking salt does not count as feed at all. Scent lures and salts meet these requirements without effort, since they work without piles of grain. Before setting up a new site, check the current edition of the hunting rules and match the site to your club's ground management plan, as distance and quantity requirements change over time.
Brands
The category carries proven European producers. HAGOPUR is a German maker known for Premium class lures aimed at single species. EUROHUNT offers a wide line of urine and spray lures used by hunters across Europe. SALZ PASTE salts are made specifically for building lick sites, and the ATRASALT gun was designed to apply them. These brands are already in use on Lithuanian hunting grounds, so their performance in local conditions has been tested in practice.
