Headlamp

Headlamps for hunting from Olight — the Perun, Array and Oclip series with strong LED output, a red night mode and a rechargeable battery. Your hands stay free for the rifle, the bow or a dog on the lead.

Headlamp

Night hunting, an early check of your snares, or tracking a shot animal after dark all demand light that does not spook the surroundings and does not tie up your hands. A headlamp solves both problems at once — the beam follows where you look, and your hands stay free for the rifle, the bow or the leash. This category holds six Olight models, from the compact Oclip Pro to the powerful Perun 3.

Who a headlamp is for in the field

A headlamp earns its place anywhere you need both hands and a light that points where you are looking — pushing through thick brush, setting up a high seat before dawn, or following blood trail in the dark. Unlike a handheld torch, it does not tie up an arm, so you can raise the rifle or bow the moment the beam lands on the target.

Types available in this category

The range covers three lines built for different weights and jobs, from the lightest clip-on unit to the strongest lamp with a backup battery.

Olight Oclip Pro

The smallest and lightest option, worn on a head strap or clipped to a cap brim. It suits short outings, feeding stations at dusk, or sitting in a high seat where you want as little weight on your head as possible.

Olight Perun 2

A mid-size headlamp, available in black and desert tan. The tan finish blends with autumn and winter surroundings, so it stands out less during a stalk or a long wait in the seat.

Olight Perun 3

The strongest model in the series, built for longer night walks or tracking over distance. The higher output helps in open ground or in a field, where the beam needs to reach further than it does inside dense woods.

Olight Array 2 / Array 2S / Array 2 Pro

A separate line with a wide beam, suited to moving through forest or setting up camp. The Array 2 Pro reaches 1500 lumens, so it also covers longer-range lighting, not only close work with your hands.

How to choose the right model

A few points specific to hunting are worth weighing before you pick a model, rather than judging it as a general household lamp.

  • Light output — a lower lumen count is enough for short jobs at the car or the tent, while tracking outdoors or lighting distant ground calls for a stronger unit such as the Array 2 Pro.
  • Colour and concealment — a desert tan housing reflects less in an animal's eyes and stays less visible to other hunters after dark than a black or bright-coloured shell.
  • Weight and mounting — a long wait in the high seat suits the lighter Oclip Pro with its clip, while active movement across open ground is easier with a standard head strap.
  • Battery type — a rechargeable battery is convenient for daily use, but on a longer trip a spare pack is worth carrying so the light does not fail at the worst moment.

Practical field advice

Check the battery charge before you head into the woods and carry a spare, especially in winter, when cold drains it faster. For night hunting or tracking, a low red or dim white mode is useful — it disturbs game less and lets your eyes stay adjusted to the dark between glances at the beam.

On wet, muddy ground, wading through a bog or thick brush, the housing's resistance to water and knocks matters more than extra features. Check the specific model's rating on the product page before you buy.

Why Olight

Every model in this category comes from Olight, a brand known for compact housings and a rechargeable battery system shared across the Perun and Array lines. That means the same charger works across several units if you own more than one.
