These chargers and batteries are meant for hunters who run flashlights on night stalks, during long waits in the high seat, on follow-up searches for wounded game and while dressing an animal after dark. The range covers power for hand lamps, headlamps and the small electronics a hunter carries. One spare cell in a chest pocket often decides whether the night ends with meat in the truck or with a dark lamp. Experienced hunters drive out with a fully charged reserve and keep a charger at home so every cell is ready before the next trip.

Battery and cell types

You will find four main groups here: rechargeable lithium-ion cells for flashlights, small RCR123A and CR2032 batteries for devices, dedicated Olight packs for specific lamp models, and external power banks for phones and USB gear in the field. Each group solves a different problem on a hunt, so it pays to know how they differ.

18650 cells

The 18650 is the most common format in hunting flashlights and headlamps. We stock Panasonic 18650 3400mAh 3.7V, Samsung 3450mAh and Olight 3400mAh cells. Stick to named manufacturers with honest capacity ratings: cheap no-name cells with fantasy numbers on the wrapper die within half an hour in frost and can damage the lamp.

High-capacity packs for the Javelot series

Long-throw hunting lamps need more energy than a single standard cell holds. The Olight Javelot Pro 3500mAh pack and the ORB3-217C50 5000mAh cell keep enough output to identify game at several hundred metres through a full night. If your lamp runs on a dedicated pack, a spare original battery is the cheapest way to double your time on the field.

RCR123A and lithium button cells

The Olight RCR123A Li-Ion 650mAh rechargeable cell fits compact tactical lights that hunters mount on a firearm or carry in a vest pocket. Duracell CR2032 and Energizer lithium cells power red-dot sights, rangefinders and trail cameras. Replace them in every device before the season opens: lithium chemistry holds voltage well in the cold, but the cells age even in storage.

External power banks

The Härkila 10,000 mAh power bank, version 2, charges your phone with its GPS track, a radio or a USB-charged lamp out in the field. On a long driven-hunt day a phone running maps and the line chat drains fast, so a reserve power source in the backpack is a safety matter, not a convenience.

How to choose

Before buying a cell or charger for your flashlight, work through these steps:

1. Check the manual for the supported cell format and length: 18650, 21700 or a dedicated pack. Some protected cells are longer and will not fit.
2. For Olight lamps, choose the original pack and the matching magnetic cable, because contact layouts differ between series.
3. Judge real capacity: 3400 to 3500mAh from Panasonic, Samsung or Olight is an honest figure for an 18650.
4. Plan your reserve around the hunt: one full set plus one spare covers a night in the high seat, while a weekend without mains power calls for a car charger or a power bank.
5. For devices on CR2032 cells, buy double the quantity at once so a sight never goes dark mid-season.

Field advice

Cold is the worst enemy of lithium cells: at minus ten degrees capacity drops by a third or more. Carry spares in an inner jacket pocket against your body, not in the backpack on the high-seat floor, and load a cold cell into the lamp only right before use. After a wet hunt, dry your gear and store cells at roughly half charge if the lamp will rest for a few weeks: that is the slowest way for them to age. Test the lamp at home before every night sit, since contacts oxidise during long breaks. Keep a magnetic cable in the car, and the lamp will be full again by the next night out.
