Voere

The Voere LBW is a wood-stocked bolt-action rifle built for the hunter who wants an accurate, dependable weapon for still hunting from a high seat and for driven hunts. This category holds three caliber options, so your choice comes down to which game you hunt most and at what range you usually shoot.

What is the Voere LBW rifle

The Voere LBW is a bolt-action rifle made in Austria with a traditional wood stock. It is built for hunters who need a precise shot from a stable, familiar rifle shape, equally at home in a high seat or moving through cover on a driven hunt.

Caliber by game

7x64

A versatile caliber suited to roe deer, wild boar and red deer. A solid pick for a hunter who goes after mixed game and prefers to carry one rifle rather than several.

223 Rem.

A lighter caliber with less recoil, often chosen for smaller game such as fox, and also used at night for wild boar with optics, where a quieter shot and less fatigue over a long sit in the high seat matter.

30-06 Spr.

One of the most widely used hunting calibers worldwide, dependable on large game such as red deer and wild boar even at longer range. A good fit for a hunter who values a proven, widely available round.

How to choose a caliber

• Consider which game is most common on your hunting grounds - roe deer call for a different caliber than wild boar or red deer
• Think about the type of hunt - still hunting from a high seat allows a heavier rifle, while a driven hunt demands a quick shot
• Weigh the recoil - long hours in the high seat or repeated shots wear you down if the caliber is more than you need
• Check ammunition availability in your area, especially if you plan to hunt abroad

Field advice

Before the autumn season, sight in the scope again, since temperature swings can shift the point of impact. Keep the wood stock away from prolonged damp after a wet day in the forest - wipe it dry and let it air out naturally. The bolt action needs periodic cleaning, especially after hunting in mud or sand, so it stays smooth and reliable at the critical moment.
