Automatic Feeders
Automatic feeders for wild game: complete HUNTERA FeedPro units, hoppers up to 204 kg, spinners, feeder timers, motors, solar panels and batteries. Equipment that spreads feed at your baiting site on schedule while you stay away from it.
A baiting site only works when game learns that feed appears there at the same hour every day. Doing that by hand is hard: driving to the forest each evening costs fuel and time, and your scent and engine noise push wary animals away. An automatic feeder solves this. It spreads a set amount of grain at a set hour, and you come back only to refill the hopper or to hunt.
Who these feeders are for
These units are for hunters who maintain baiting sites for wild boar, deer and other wild animals. A feeder trains game to visit one spot on a steady rhythm, which makes an evening sit in the high seat predictable. It also supports winter feeding and trail-camera observation. Consistency matters most: animals quickly connect the sound of the spinner with food and arrive on schedule. Before setting up a site, check the hunting regulations that apply to your grounds, since rules on baiting wild boar change over time.
What you will find in this category
The category holds both complete units and separate components, so you can build a system from scratch or replace a worn part. All the electrics run on 6V or 12V, and you should match every component to the voltage of your system. The main groups are covered below.
Complete HUNTERA FeedPro feeders
The HUNTERA FeedPro line covers several levels: the compact P1 6V, the M1 12V, the one-directional M3 6V and the M2 12V. The M2 is available with a solar panel and also as a kit with a 100 kg hopper. A complete unit is the fastest start: set it up, pour in grain, set the timer and the system runs.
Feed hoppers
If you already own a spinner, pick a hopper alone. There is a green metal 100 kg hopper that blends into the forest background, and the HUNTERA HIGHSTAND HS450 that holds 204 kg. A bigger hopper means fewer refill trips, so less scent and less disturbance at the site.
Spinners and motors
The spinner is the heart of the feeder: a rotating plate throws grain in a circle around the unit. You will find HA2 spinners for 6V (small) and 12V (large) systems, plus separate 6V and 12V motors for repairs. When a motor fails you replace one part, not the whole unit.
Feeder timer
The HA19 timer controls the schedule: you set the feeding times and the spin duration, which decides how much grain goes out. A short spin saves feed, a longer one covers a wider circle at a busy site.
Power components
Every system needs power. The category includes an NPP 12V 7Ah AGM battery that handles cold and damp, a 1.5 W solar panel that keeps the charge topped up through the season, and an HQ charger that works with 2V, 6V and 12V batteries. With a solar panel fitted, you rarely need to carry the battery home for charging.
How to choose a feeder
Your choice depends on how far the site is, how much game visits it and what equipment you already own. Answer a few questions before ordering:
- Which voltage? A 12V system drives the larger spinner and pairs well with a solar panel; 6V is enough for a smaller site.
- How much capacity? For a remote site you visit every few weeks, take the 100 kg or 204 kg hopper.
- Complete unit or parts? A new site is easier with a full FeedPro kit; an existing system may only need a spinner, timer or motor.
- Solar or not? Without a panel you will charge the battery every few weeks, depending on how often the feeder spins.
- Which animals visit? For wild boar the grain goes on the ground in a wide circle, so a strong spinner and a sturdy body matter.
Field advice
Place the feeder so you can see the spread zone from your stand, with the prevailing wind carrying your scent away from the direction the animals approach from. Raise the unit on legs or hang it, so boar cannot reach it or tip it over. Match the spin times to animal activity, usually early morning and dusk. Use dry, clean grain, because damp feed clumps and jams the spinner. Before the season, check the battery charge, clean the contacts and confirm the timer kept its settings after any battery swap. In winter an AGM battery loses less capacity than a standard one, but a charged spare is still worth having.
Brands
The main brand here is HUNTERA, whose FeedPro and HIGHSTAND lines were built for hunting baiting sites rather than farm use. The power side is covered by NPP batteries and HQ chargers. All parts match by voltage, so you can grow the system piece by piece without replacing its base.
