Mounts & Remotes

Mounts and remotes for hunting flashlights: Weaver and Picatinny rail mounts for rifles, quick-release brackets, pressure switches and batteries. The range covers Olight, Klarus, XTAR and Samsung parts for reliable one-hand light control during a hunt.
Mounts & Remotes

Night hunting and watching over a feeding site both demand a flashlight that stays put and switches on without a sound. This category holds rail mounts for Weaver and Picatinny rifles, quick-release brackets, headbands and remote pressure switches from Olight and Klarus, plus batteries from Samsung and XTAR.

Who these flashlight accessories are for

These parts are built for a hunter who runs a flashlight on the rifle or on the head and needs to switch it without moving a hand off the grip. A mount keeps the light steady, and a remote pressure switch lets you turn the beam on and off quietly, without a sudden motion that would spook the animal.

That matters when you are watching for a boar near a feeding site, walking a forest track at night, or working a driven hunt in low light. The flashlight becomes a second set of eyes, and controlling it needs to be as fast and as quiet as aiming itself. A solid mount stops the beam from shaking against the target line, and a properly fixed remote switch lets you scan the ground without shifting the rifle out of position. The category also serves hunters who work with a dog after dark and need to light up thick cover fast, and those who mount a headlamp for setting up a stand or dragging game out of the forest.

Types available in this category

The range covers the full chain from rail to trigger finger: mounting hardware, adapters, remote switches and the batteries that power them. Here are the main types based on the actual products in this category.

Weaver and Picatinny rail mounts

The Olight rail mount comes in two lengths, the shorter E-WM25 and the longer E-WM25L, depending on how much space you have on the front of the rifle. There is also a general-purpose 30 mm Weaver mount for lights outside the Olight lineup. The Picatinny base with a Swarovski rail, Weaver AKM connection and Recknagel clamp is built for heavier sights or a flashlight run alongside a scope on the same rifle.

Quick-release and magnetic mounts

The 30 mm quick-release mount lets you pull the flashlight off in seconds once the hunt is over or when you need to carry the rifle through dense brush without a light sticking out. The Olight X-WM03 magnetic mount suits a fast, temporary attachment to a metal surface, such as a vehicle body or a high seat frame, when you need light without the rifle in hand.

Adapters for different rail types

If you run an Olight Odin flashlight but the rifle uses a different rail, the Olight Odin M-LOK adapter or the Olight Odin rail adapter for a standard Weaver connection solves the mismatch. An adapter lets you move the same flashlight between rifles with different rail systems, useful for a hunter running more than one rifle.

Remote pressure switches and cables

Most of the category is remote pressure switch cables: the Olight RWX Warrior X, Olight RPL-7, OLIGHT ROD, Olight ROD-7 and Olight sROD with tips. Each cable is built for a specific Olight flashlight model, so check which light you own before ordering. The Klarus TRS1 dual remote switch is for a hunter who wants two devices, a flashlight and a laser sight, run from a single button under the finger.

Headbands and power

The Olight Perun Mini headband turns a handheld flashlight into a head torch, freeing both hands for setting up a hunting stand in the dark. To keep a flashlight from dying at the wrong moment, the category also carries batteries: the Samsung Li-ion 3.6V 4900mAh cell, the XTAR 14500 with a built-in charge controller, and the Olight ORB3-186C35 3500mAh cell.

How to choose the right accessory

Matching the accessory to your exact flashlight model and rifle rail is the main thing to get right, since not every mount or switch fits every light. Check these points before you buy.

  1. Which flashlight model you own, since a remote cable must match a specific Olight or Klarus series, not any light on the market.
  2. Which rail is fitted on the rifle, Weaver, Picatinny or M-LOK, since that decides whether you need an adapter.
  3. How often you take the flashlight off, since frequent removal calls for a quick-release mount rather than a fixed one.
  4. Where the switch button needs to sit, near the forward grip or closer to the trigger hand, since that sets the cable length you need.
  5. Whether a spare battery is worth carrying for a long night hunt or an extended driven hunt.

Practical field advice

Route the remote switch cable along the rifle so it does not flap loose and catch on brush while you move through cover. Use cable clips or tape so the wire cannot snag and slow down bringing the rifle up. Before heading out, check that the rail mount is fully tightened, since cold metal and recoil vibration can twist a loose mount off the aiming line over a night in the field.

Carry a spare battery, especially in cold weather, since Li-ion cell capacity drops faster at low temperatures than in warm months. When choosing between the shorter and longer Weaver mount, factor in barrel length and any other equipment already fitted, since a mount that is too long can foul the sight adjustment, and one that is too short may not hold the flashlight straight along the aiming plane. For a head-mounted flashlight, check the headband tension before every trip out, since a loose band slides down while pushing through brush or climbing a high seat ladder.

Test a remote switch at home before the first night hunt so your finger learns the button position in the dark. With the switch under a finger rather than a light in hand, reaction time before a shot drops, which matters when an animal appears without warning and stays lit for only a few seconds.

Brands in this category

Olight leads this category by volume: most mounts, adapters and remote switches are made by the brand and matched to its own flashlight lineup, so a hunter already running an Olight light can build out a full system from one brand. Alongside it sits the Klarus TRS1 dual switch, a Swarovski-compatible base with a Recknagel clamp, and batteries from Samsung and XTAR that fit 18650, 21700 or 14500 cells.
